Hi! I'm Jeannie André
My inspiration for painting was born out of wanting to make special occasion cards and gifts for people I love. It still is. Now they reach people I don't know ... and hope my offerings reach their destination.
Usually my images paint themselves, especially when I let go of outcome and stick to the feeling. I may have noticed a lizard, a frog or some "one" in my animal family, and then something may happen on my paper that seems right. I consider myself a lucky thief when I paint a dream ... as you know when writing down a dream, details come into focus. And when painting one, it becomes a lucid experience.
